On March 24-25, 2025, Diverse Representation will host its annual Sports Agent Bootcamp. The Bootcamp aims to prepare Black professionals as well as Black undergraduate and graduate students for careers as professional sports agents. The program features a number of panels and fireside chats covering an array of topics ranging from recruiting and scouting to endorsements and negotiating tactics. On July 31, Diverse Representation is partnering with the White House to present an afternoon celebrating Black women in the sports industry. The afternoon will include a panel conversation and networking reception. Panelists include Monica McNutt (Analyst, ESPN), Keia Clarke (CEO, New York Liberty), Nneka Ogwumike (Forward, Seattle Storm & President, WNBPA) and Lonnie Murray (MLB Agent). Panelists will discuss their experiences as Black women in the sports industry and share insight on increasing representation. Reception to follow.

Join us in New York during the Tribeca Festival for our panel "The Future of Representation." The panel, which features Black agents, attorneys, and managers, will expose the various opportunities and challenges shaping the future of talent representation in the entertainment industry. Over the last five years, we have experienced historic labor strikes, a global pandemic, a number of mergers and acquisitions, and the complete closure of entertainment companies, which have all contributed to the evolving role of agents, attorneys, and managers. Panelists will exchange insights on how some of these key themes are transforming the way talent is scouted, managed, and marketed. The conversation will also cover empowering talent from underrepresented backgrounds.

The inaugural Black Ownership in Sports Symposium is a disruptive, innovative, first-of-its-kind one-day program aimed at educating Black students and Black professionals about the inner workings of owning professional sports teams. Guest speakers will share insight into the various opportunities and challenges in connection with purchasing majority and minority ownership stakes in professional sports teams.
