[WASSERMAN] Summer 2024 Intern - PR & Content (Sports)

Please note: This is an unpaid internship. Candidates must be eligible to receive college credit as compensation for this internship. Candidates selected to move forward in the interview process will need to submit proof of eligibility to receive academic credit for their time interning with Wasserman, and will be disqualified if they are unable to do so.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Various administration duties as assigned

  • Contribute to researching, editing, and writing loglines for external review

  • Help create short/ long form original series ideas

  • Create excel spreadsheets and powerpoint pitch decks to conduct content development outreach

  • Prepare summaries, notes prior to pitch meetings

  • Conduct research on clients' stories to prepare for content development

  • Edit, update, and expand media and marketing lists

  • Explore potential media and content opportunities for clients (market research and pitching)

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicant must have strong writing skills

  • Applicants must be organized, self-motivated, creative, and enthusiastic

  • .Degree currently in progress, preferably majoring in a communications or marketing field

  • Applicants must possess a professional attitude while demonstrating initiative and strong communication skills.

  • Applicants should have content development experience, as well as be eager to learn about and contribute to the marketing and development efforts of professional athletes by cold calling distributors and networks

  • Well-developed communication, organizational and time management skills, as well as basic administrative skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized

  • Displays indications of being loyal and trustworthy with the organization and clients

  • Time commitment expectation of 30-40 hours per week

  • Must be able to earn college credit for an internship

Interns will attain a rewarding learning experience by working for one of the most respected sports & entertainment companies. They will learn business operations and important aspects of the Athlete sales and marketing process including prospecting, outreach, following through on deals and digital marketing strategies. Interns will also make invaluable connections with sports industry leaders.
