[NBCUNIVERSAL] VP, Corporate Communications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help manage external communications for NBCUniversal, providing strategic communications and media relations leadership for NBCUniversal’s corporate executives and functions, including legal, government affairs, HR, finance, and operations and technology.

  • Work with the EVP to coordinate external communications across NBCU businesses and brands. Lead issue management and crisis communication, including the development of communications plans and stakeholder outreach.

  • Work closely with government affairs team on communications around federal and state public policy issues.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen the company’s external presence.

  • Manage press inquiries in a timely manner, build relationships with key industry reporters.

  • Prepare leadership for media interviews, external speaking engagements and presentations

  • Collaborate with communications leaders across the portfolio to manage reputational issues and cross company announcements

  • Work closely with legal teams and HR to ensure that all external communications comply with industry regulations, corporate policies, and legal requirements. Stay informed on industry news and relevant policy changes to proactively address potential risks and identify new opportunities for the company.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in communications, strategy and execution

  • Prior experience developing and executing successful communications strategies in the public sector around legislative and policy issues
