THE ROLE
HARTBEAT is seeking a highly skilled Director to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. As a key contributor, you will drive the financial planning process and work closely with other senior leaders to develop financial forecasts and set performance benchmarks for Hartbeat's Digital Platforms division. This role will involve providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including preparing weekly dashboards to highlight performance across multiple digital platforms, budget versus actual analysis, cash flow projections, and other projects requested by leadership. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in financial modeling and the ability to present coherent analysis. Reporting to the CFO, you will play a vital role in propelling the financial success of our organization, cultivating, and maintaining a top-tier FP&A function.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Forecast and communicate Hartbeat Digital Platform's operating expenses.
Consolidate weekly digital dashboard details to inform monthly accounting accrual process.
Develop and manage weekly dashboards to highlight KPI performance across multiple AVOD platforms, OTT, and Fast channels.
Develop and manage the FP&A processes for digital platforms, encompassing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term strategic plans across digital film, series and audio content.
Partner with CDO and CFO to define, track, and analyze financial content metrics and P&L models to set specific performance goals on a platform-by-platform basis and evaluate performance vs targets.
Maintain and improve cash forecasting, conducting regular analysis to ensure royalty statements are received and paid in a timely manner.
Identify and effectively communicate critical insights, risks, and opportunities to senior management, promoting informed decision-making.
Coordinate with department heads to gather all relevant financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis for potential strategic initiatives, assessing their financial implications.
Identify opportunities to leverage technology, implementing enhancements to financial systems that streamline reporting and analysis.
REQUIREMENTS
Proficiency in NetSuite
BA/BS degree in Finance, a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
A minimum of 8 years’ experience in FP&A with a preference for experience in the media & entertainment industry
Advanced proficiency in Excel, particularly with complex financial modeling, graphing, and high-impact visual presentations
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
A solid grasp of accounting principles with experience in compiling comprehensive three-way financial statements
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks
Proven ability to establish rapport swiftly with a diverse range of individuals across the business
Comfort in navigating ambiguous situations and the demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
