[EXCEL SPORTS] Fall 2025 Associate

OVERVIEW

Our Associate program is a paid opportunity that allows participants to contribute to the organization’s success while applying learning from the classroom. This semester will be fully in-person. Associates are responsible for their individual transportation and housing needs.  

Associates are expected to work 24-29.9 hours per week during the session. While assigned to a specific division, they will have opportunities to learn about other areas within Excel through lunch and learns held throughout the semester.  The Fall Program runs from Monday, September 22nd, 2025 through Friday, December 12th, 2025

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research local and national community programs, charities, or events that align with clients’ values and interests to enhance their community presence.

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and executing community events such as charity games, youth sports clinics, or fundraisers, including logistics, scheduling, and promotion.

  • Support clients in preparing for community appearances, including drafting speeches, coordinating travel, or providing briefing materials on the initiative or cause.

  • Develop social media posts, press releases, or website content to highlight clients’ community involvement, ensuring alignment with their personal brand and agency goals.

  • Help identify and liaise with nonprofit organizations, schools, or community groups to create partnerships that amplify clients’ community impact.

  • Monitor and document the impact of community initiatives (e.g., funds raised, attendance, media coverage) and prepare reports for the agency and clients.

  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, managing correspondence with community partners, or maintaining databases of community contacts.

  • Track media coverage of clients’ community activities and compile clippings or summaries to share with the agency team and clients.

  • Plan and support client status calls which include scheduling, preparing agendas, and creating/maintaining status documents

  • Support the Excel Football Team by providing on-going client updates

  • Support teammates across the group to ensure flawless client-service and a second-to-none agency experience

REQUIREMENTS

  • Be available to work under 30 hours per week.

  • Be available to report to Irvine office approximately 3-days a week.

  • Have a senior standing in college (must have completed your junior year of undergrad).

OR 

  • Be enrolled in graduate school

OR

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Postgraduate degree

The program will begin on September 22nd, 2025.

The pay for this position is $16.50 per hour. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the California and New York City Salary Transparency Law.
