[HARTBEAT] Executive Assistant, General Counsel

HARTBEAT’s flagship consumer brand, the LOL! Network, reaches audiences across its O&O social media, audio, and OTT partners.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant to be instrumental in implementing processes and procedures to streamline the department’s high volume of work. This position will report directly to the General Counsel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Preparing expense reports

  • Coordinating the execution of agreements

  • Maintaining spreadsheets, charts and summaries

  • Organizing and updating hard copy and electronic files

  • Drafting, formatting, redlining and editing various agreements and other legal documents

    Maintaining and saving agreements and other important documents in a thoughtful, organized manner

  • Handling other administrative tasks such as making reservations, ordering lunch and coordinating travel itineraries

  • Working with and providing administrative support for other members of the legal department as needed

  • Performing general administrative office duties (including answering phones, calendaring, managing contacts and meeting preparation and note taking)

  • Handling other projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 3-5 years of related experience supporting lawyers with a strong contract background

  • Experience in transactional law (e.g. prior work in law firm’s corporate or entertainment department or in an in-house legal department) is required

  • High proficiency with Outlook, Word (Advanced), Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, DocuSign, Visio (helpful), SharePoint and any document management software programs

Role is based in Los Angeles, CA.
