[LONG ISLAND NETS] Intern
We are looking for Long Island Nets Interns to join us for the 2025-2026 Season. The Seasonal Internship is a part-time, paid program that runs from October 8th, 2025 to May 14th, 2026.
Seasonal Interns are expected to work about 20-40 hours per week in office. Start and end dates can be flexible depending on your academic calendar. This internship will be based in Long Island at Nassau Coliseum.
DEPARTMENTS:
Business Operations
The Business Operations Intern will support the execution of key operational functions for the Long Island Nets. Responsibilities include assisting with logistics coordination for gameday operations at Nassau Coliseum and offsite events, helping manage expense reporting and budget tracking, and contributing to the preparation of internal presentations, reports, and dashboards. The intern will also assist with daily administrative tasks supporting both Business and Basketball Operations, and play a hands-on role in managing the Long Island Nets Kids Zone on gamedays.
Community
The Community intern will provide support for both the marketing and community departments, including but not limited to cultivating relationships with community organizations that align with Long Island Nets pillars, assisting in the planning of 2025-26 theme nights, supporting grassroot marketing events at various locations across Nassau and Suffolk county.
Marketing
The Marketing Intern will play an integral role in supporting the day-to-day functions of the Long Island Nets marketing team. This includes providing videography and content editing support to capture event highlights and produce recap content for social media. The intern will assist in planning and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, support email marketing efforts (including list management and newsletter creation), and help manage inventory of merchandise and giveaways. Graphic design experience is a plus, as the role may include creating visual assets for both digital and in-arena use.
Partnerships
The Partnerships Intern will support the Long Island Nets Partnership Marketing team in both day-to-day operations and game night execution. Responsibilities include conducting research to identify new business prospects, compiling executive briefs and recap decks for current and potential partners, and assisting with the coordination of B2B and partner events. The intern will also support the planning and execution of game night activations, and assist in tracking, organizing, and reporting on partnership performance across various platforms and assets.
Public Relations
The Public Relations Intern will support the day-to-day communications efforts of the Long Island Nets, with a focus on game day operations. Key responsibilities include managing credential creation and distribution, assisting with basketball communications tasks, and supporting media availability at games and practices. The intern will be expected to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information, and must be available to attend all home games and select practices as needed.
Ticket Sales
The Sales intern will provide support for both the ticket sales and partnership departments, including but not limited to conducting research for new business prospects, preparing decks for new and existing partners, and performing grassroot marketing activities at various locations in Nassau County to drive fan development and sales lead generation.
