[NETFLIX] Manager, Special Projects & Talent Relations

The Manager, Special Projects and Talent Relations will support the Special Projects and Talent Relations team and work closely with the Awards and TR, Director to enhance the functionality, efficiency and productivity of the team’s work across special projects, ceremony ticketing, festivals and talent relations. 

This role will be based in Los Angeles and include, but is not limited to: managing long term museum relationships, coordination with the physical archives team, maintain and establish global industry relationships, curate and seek talent recognition opportunities across both film and series, award ceremony and festival ticketing and logistics coordination. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supplier onboarding when necessary

  • Creating, processing both POs and invoices

  • Onsite ceremony, festival, and event coverage as necessary 

  • Facilitate talent travel, transportation, and glam as needed

  • Support ceremony and select festival ticketing across major UCAN award ceremonies and film festivals for nominees, filmmakers, internal Netflix executives, external partners and key stakeholders, where applicable

  • Act as a liaison between the Netflix Physical Asset and Archives team, including: Pre-planning and working with cross-functional partners on the shipping logistics for large projects ahead; Hiring and onboarding of external specialized vendors for exhibits; Taking lead on exhibit initiatives tied to animation, documentaries and other smaller-scale initiatives

  • Work alongside the talent relations team to update and maintain global industry database across film and series 

  • Organize and collaborate with the talent relations team on enhancing efficiencies surrounding talent tributes and honors across both film and series

  • Responsible for updating and maintaining key timeline documents across several large scale projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of experience within a studio or production company that actively engages in entertainment awards campaigns

  • Significant experience directly managing a variety of fast-paced and time sensitive projects from inception to completion autonomously

  • Experience working collaboratively and effectively with varied teams across different regions and functions

  • Practical experience in managing budgets, creating and processing purchase orders, invoices, and managing supplier onboarding
